Gardens Bring Art, Music, Poetry and Fun to Lake Merritt

More than 100 artists, musicians, poets, gardeners, exhibitors and some 2,000 attendees joined together in “Oakland’s Green Heart” –The Gardens at Lake Merritt– for Art & Music in the Gardens, 2011.

This signature event called notice to the increasing value of green spaces and their importance in defining a community. We hope this event gave you pride and pleasure in these Gardens – an exceptional Oakland treasure.

“The Gardens have never looked this beautiful.” “I didn’t know these Gardens were here.” “Spectacular event.”
