		<description><![CDATA[September is also a great month to join a community garden at the Edible Gardens at the Gardens at Lake Merritt. Seasonal gardening (fall and winter) is started and you can get in on the ground floor - so to speak :) , planning, designing, planting, maintaining and harvesting. New volunteers are always accepted at the People&#039;s Victory Garden (www.PeoplesVictoryGarden.org). However, we are planning our fall and winter garden this month including planting cover crops and onion seeds (see article by Alameda County Master Gardeners). See you in the garden for some fun and learning! Come on out Saturday, September  29; 9:30 am - 11:30 am (new hours, this date only). Existing volunteers may garden at any time. ...
